The best aspect of working on eye animation is that the eye always looks good (unlike other parts – see our dental section ). Even as a lone organ, unattached to other parts of the face, the eye looks glossy, multifaceted, artistic and not threatening. Close up the iris looks even better making it possible to show procedures without making patients squeamish.
Much of our body of work has been around cataracts, surgeries and lens implants. 3D animation in the field of ophthalmology is very important because many times procedures like lasics and lens implants are voluntary and the need for great visual communication is paramount. As a result, we’ve done 3D animation even for early stage startups in the eye arena.
