2022 Pharma MOA Demoreel
We are excited to share our latest demo reel, highlighting some of the stunning 3D mechanism of action animations we have recently created for our clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech space. This reel encompasses why the team here at Scientific Animations continues to be at the forefront of medical animation and science visualization over the last 15 years.
2022 Medical Device Demoreel
We are excited to share our latest demo reel, highlighting some of the stunning 3D medical device animations we have recently created for our clients. This reel encompasses why the team here at Scientific Animations continues to be at the forefront of medical animation and science visualization over the last 15 years.
The immune system fights cancer
This mechanism of action (MOA) animation was created as a general overview to be a patient-facing piece on the website for a prominent cancer treatment organization. It details the use of immunotherapy in the treatment of cancer.
Pulmonary Embolism Treatment System
This animation highlights a minimally invasive system for dissolving thrombus using ultrasonic technology. This revolutionary treatment uses ultrasonic waves in combination with clot-dissolving drugs to dissolve the clot, reducing the risk of both pulmonary embolism and long-term side effects. This stunning video illustration exhibits ground-breaking technology that can be used for marketing and education.
Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) in wound healing
This animation provides an insightful look into the process of removing cells from extracellular matrices (ECM) to preserve their beneficial properties while eliminating genetic material. It discusses the importance of thorough decellularization for enhancing immunomodulation and tissue repair, and compares a specific decellularization technique to traditional methods, highlighting its effectiveness in retaining ECM's structural integrity.
Cancer Radiotherapy System
This piece was created to showcase a game-changing approach to cancer treatment. It highlights a method of radiation which utilizes the cancer itself to guide its delivery. By combining radiotherapy and PET-CT, this is the only machine with the potential to use disease-specific tracers to see and treat hard-to-find tumors. This animation walks you through the inner-workings of the system and can be used for both marketing and education.
Mesh for Hernia Repair
This fully resorbable monofilament scaffold was design for rapid tissue incorporation and repair. It combines the strength of synthetic mesh with the natural remodeling abilities of a biologic graft. This results in rapid tissue growth and long-lasting strength for a strong and dependable repair.
Microcatheter Showcase
This animation spotlights a microcatheter that is engineered with a first of its kind, 175cm length, which is ideal for radial access and offers interventionalists the opportunity to get closer to intended targets without compromising flow rates or embolic choices. Designed with a balance of pushability and flexibility, this microcatheter offers enhanced traceability through tortuous anatomy. An innovative video such as this is a significant marketing tool and a valuable educational component.
Heart Failure Implant Therapy
This new class of therapy is the first to repair the left ventricle and directly target the cause of heart failure. Using a minimally invasive, non-surgical approach, the implant is placed into the left ventricular wall, just below the mitral valve. Once placed, it is then cinched tight and secured in place. Developed to reduce the size of the left ventricle, as well as support and strengthen the heart wall, this revolutionary implant likely allows for faster recovery times compared to open-heart procedures. This stunning animation highlights the features of the device as well as step-by-step usage and is suitable for both marketing and education.
Augmenting eye drainage to reduce IOP
Depicting a novel procedure for lowering intraocular pressure, this eye animation required a beautiful cut section of the eye. We chose to show this as a soft illustration, similar to a colorized look of a medical textbook illustration. This was then contrast by showing the procedure in the Shlemm's canal with full VFX in a high contrast 3D environment. An example of versatility in animation, we have created VR versions of this also.
Using soundwaves in thrombolysis
A novel therapy that ingeniously uses sound to increase effectiveness of thrombosis removal. The device animation is heavy on VFX (visual effects) to show how acoustic streaming helps enhance drug deliverability. Look for the glowing drug particles in the blood flow scene; this is one common way we can highlight important elements of the visual communication while still showing full sections of anatomy
Drug delivery coated balloons
Devices that were ordinary in past procedures are no longer. We are seeing smarter equipmement, like drug delivering wound healing dressing, drug eluting stents and also, as in this animation, drug coated balloons. This procedure uses drug coated balloons to treat peripheral artery disease. Look for the scene where the balloon approaches the camera from above. We were inspired by a combination of a bullet train arriving in the station and a dirigible coming in to land.
Using acoustic waves to enhance erections
Sensitivity is key when you are working in the area of Women's or Men's health. This innovative solution to increasing blood flow to enable an erection, utilises a combination of fiberglass looks, extreme closeups, and cross sections to handle the topic maturely, and medically.
